Kaitlin Townsend, BA, DC
Dr. Kaitlin is a 2011 graduate of West Virginia University where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. While finishing her degree in psychology, she began to struggle with deciding where her career path would lead and found most of the graduate programs in her field to not mix with the visions and goals she had in place. Thanks to a friend who knew about chiropractic, she was able to learn a bit about the potential for a career as a chiropractor and made her way down to Marietta, Georgia for graduate school right after graduating from West Virginia University.
Dr. Kaitlin suffered from severe allergies since childhood to things that are everywhere in our environment on a daily basis: trees, grass, mold, dust, and pets just to name a few. She found herself taking one medication after the next as a failed attempt to deal with her body not responding the way it was intended to. Until starting chiropractic school, she had no idea about the potential that our body’s have to heal themselves. During her first year of school, she was under full-time chiropractic care for the first time in her life. Over the course of that year, she not only started to feel better overall, but her body was able to start dealing with its environment the way it was supposed to in the first place. She was able to come off all medications and no longer suffers from the allergies that used to plague her body on a daily basis.
Dr. Kaitlin is currently working towards the completion of an advanced certification in maternal and pediatric care from the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association (ICPA). She and Dr. Alyce both have a passion for bringing the message of health and healing to this community so that families in and around Wexford and Cranberry Township can have a better opportunity of health for both themselves and their growing families.
